Domain Release Auction Process

If you need to list your domain for a release auction, please follow the process below:

I. Domain Release Auction Listing Process

1. Submit for Auction
Go to [I'm a Seller] – [List for Release Auction] and submit your domain(s) according to the required format. If you need to submit in bulk, please follow the instructions on the submission page.

Notes:
A. The release time must be set at least 4 days ahead of the current time. This means the reservation period is 4 days, followed by a 3-day bidding period.
B. Regular users can list up to 100 domains per month for drop auction. Reseller users have no limit on listings.

2.Release Listing
On the [List for Drop Auction] page, you can set the following for each domain: Reserve Price, Release Date, Auction End Time, Cost (optional). After setting the details and confirming the action, check the required agreements and submit your listing.

If the domain passes the verification, it will be successfully published. If verification fails, please follow the provided error message to make corrections.

3. Awaiting Reservation

After successful listing, you can view the domain’s release status in the [Releasing Domains] section.

  Pre-Release: You can still modify or cancel the listing.

  In Reservation: Modification and cancellation are not allowed.

If no one places a reservation during the release period and the domain goes unsold, no unsold fee will be charged.

4. Auction Phase

A. If a domain receives a reservation, it will enter the bidding phase after the release period. The bidding period lasts for 3 days.

B. You can check the bidding status under [Domains in Auction], which shows: Above Reserve Price / Below Reserve Price. Click the domain or “View” to enter the auction detail page.

C. During the auction, sellers have one opportunity to lower the reserve price—but only if done more than 3 minutes before the auction ends.

Important Notes:

a. Each domain is allowed only one reserve price reduction—use this option wisely.

b. The reserve price can only be lowered, not increased, and must still be higher than the current highest bid.

c. You cannot lower the reserve price within the last 3 minutes of the auction.

d. Lowering the reserve price does not guarantee a successful sale.

D. If the final bid is below the reserve price, the domain will be considered unsold and a fee will be charged:

Regular users: \$1.00 per domain

    Reseller users: \$0.50 per domain

E. Sellers must comply with the platform’s auction rules.

   If a domain goes unsold due to not meeting the reserve price, it must wait 60 days before being listed again.

5. Sale Settlement

A. If the buyer’s bid reaches or exceeds the reserve price, the domain sale is considered successful at the end of the auction.

B. The seller’s net earnings = (Final Sale Price – Reseller Commission) × (1 – Service Fee Rate)

    Regular users: 15% service fee

    Reseller users: 10% service fee

C. The auction proceeds from successfully sold domains will be automatically pushed to your Settlement List.

   You can go to [Financial Management] → [Request Settlement] to initiate the withdrawal.

Example:

If a .com domain is sold for $1000.00, and the reseller commission is $200.00,

and the user is a reseller (10% service fee), then:

Net earnings = ($1000.00 – $200.00) × 90% = $720.00.

 

II. Other Important Notes

A. Only domains managed by this platform can be listed for release auction. If your domain is not yet managed here, please import or transfer it to this platform first.

B. Do not submit domains that are on hold or have a serverProhibited status! Domains that have been registered for less than 60 days or have less than 60 days until expiration cannot be released. It is recommended to check whether the domain meets the release conditions before submission.
