What is domain transfer?

A domain transfer is moving a domain name from one registrar (like us, NAMEZS or GoDaddy) to another, allowing you to change management, potentially get better pricing, or centralize services, but it doesn't affect your website or email itself, only where you manage the registration. The process involves unlocking the domain at the current registrar, getting a special Authorization Code (Auth Code), and then initiating the transfer with the new registrar, usually taking 5-7 days to complete. One can either transfer in a domain or transfer out a domain to other registrars.
